ABOUT BLODAU

Blodau is a slow-fashion label inspired by nature, craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty of handmade clothing.

Each piece is created with care using peace silk and biodegradable fabrics – designed to be worn, cherished, and made to last. Blodau celebrates gentle luxury, thoughtful design, and the joy of making clothing that feels as good as it looks.

WHO IS BLODAU?

Behind Blodau is me (Olivia), a designer and sewist with a love for flowers, storytelling and sustainable fashion. From my home studio in Oxford, I blend traditional sewing techniques with modern, eco-conscious materials to create timeless, nature-inspired garments. Blodau, meaning “flowers” in Welsh, is a nod to my Welsh heritage and reflects my belief that fashion should grow beautifully, not wastefully.

THE MISSION

Blodau is built on the belief that fashion should be beautiful, ethical, and kind. I create garments using peace silk and biodegradable fabrics, combining sustainability with creativity to craft pieces that are cruelty-free, environmentally responsible, and truly unique.

My journal shares snippets of slow making, natural dyeing, creative chaos and the little joys that bloom along the way. It’s part diary, part field guide, part love letter to the art of taking your time.
