Hello — and welcome to Blodau

Hi, I’m Olivia – a Welshie sewist living in Oxford. I make clothes from my spare room, dye fabrics in my kitchen (and occasionally the garden), and take a lot of inspiration from flowers.

I started sewing when I was little, mostly thanks to my mum – who could fix, alter, or make just about anything. I got my first sewing machine at 13 (a very glamorous Aldi middle-aisle find), and I’ve been slightly obsessed ever since.

Over the years, that turned into a love of making clothes from scratch – figuring things out as I go, and creating pieces that feel a bit more personal and considered.
